SmartPAP (Smart CPAP)

(Smart [Continuous] Positive Airway Pressure) A medical device used in the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea that provides a range of preset levels of continuous airflow, and automatically adjusts to keep the breathing passages open by sensing changes in airway integrity. The air flows from the device through a tube that connects to a nose or facemask.1
